The project included around 120 maintenance and modernisation measures, carried out during ongoing operations and integrated into active event use.

The measures included maintenance and modernisation works across the building. All lighting was replaced with LED lights, and leak detection and repair works were carried out in the roof area.
The security concept was adapted, bollard systems were installed, and a new access control and camera system was implemented. Further works included the repair of terrazzo floor coverings, renovation of toilet facilities, renovation and expansion of catering areas, and renovation of the floor coating in the underground car park.
All measures were carried out during ongoing operations. Public traffic, active event operations, and major events had to be considered throughout the construction work.
The project also required integration of the measures into the venue’s operations and consideration of the interests of the surrounding Olympic Park, particularly when the parking garage was used for major events. The building formed part of a listed ensemble with the Olympic Park.

The role included project management on behalf of building management and management of the planning and execution teams. This included architects, building services engineering, and fire protection.
The major measures were implemented by the end of 2019, including upgrades to lighting, security, access control, floor areas, catering spaces, roof repairs, and public facilities.
